Cinema

Partially funded by a grant by Malvern Hills Community First Fund we have been able to purchase a digital projector and surround sound equipment which allows us to show DVD, S-VHS and VHS format recordings as well as connect in computers and radio microphones for presentations. An induction loop has also been fitted for those with hearing difficulties.

The dates for Winter Evening Cinema Showings are usually the second Saturday in the month from September to April inclusive. All winter evening screenings start at 8pm and are subject to availability and last minute change. Doors open at 7.30pm. Films are chosen by request and we have a Premises licence and Public Video Screening licence which allows us to hire out the room with equipment for specific use, charges being based on the licence requirements of the hirer, to show both commercial and non-commercial screenings.

Our regular showings do not at the time of writing have a licenced bar because of the draconian fees charged to small venues under the 2003 Licencing Act. Patrons may bring their own alcohol, soft drinks are available and we encourage donations.
